We saw Nigel Cabourn and Converse First String previously release the All Star Bosey Boot in the first drop of their collaboration together – continuing with the 1940s theme they have created a British Army P.E sneaker in the form of the Chuck Taylor Plimsole Ox. The shoe comes in three colour-ways Eggnog, Minestry Grey and Track Brown. The Plimsole Ox features a canvas upper with a matching rugged rubber outsoles, piping and toe caps giving the Plimsole Ox a very fitting look perfect for the summer months. Dual branded detailing can be found on the removable cushioned footbed, whilst the All Star branding features on the heel of the midsole. Supplied in the box is an off white dust bag.

The Nigel Cabourn for Converse First String CT Plimsole Ox is due to release both in-store and through mail order on Friday 21st June. Sizes range from UK 7 to UK 10.5 (including half sizes), priced at £65.

The 1980s gave birth to the signature basketball shoe – as many players received their own shoe model from companies in 1989 Patrick Ewing took it one step further, becoming the first professional basketball player to have his own shoe company. Before becoming a professional, Patrick dominated the collegiate ranks and wound up going to New York as the top pick in the 1985 draft. The most revered and beloved player in New York history, Patrick was voted as one of the 50 greatest players of all time.

The first main release from the company was the 33 HI. This shoe would go on to become a huge seller, becoming a street staple in NYC, and eventually becoming a favorite in Europe and Asia also. The flagship Ewing Athletics shoe came in various colourways. This hightop classic features a leather or suede upper with contrast colour pops, perforated toe-box for added breathability, a rubber basketball hang tag and the most distinctive feature being the reversible ankle strap that can be worn on the front or back of the shoe. Ewing’s signature is stitched on the lateral side of the shoe with his surname embroidered in capitals on the back. The outsole features a translucent basketball detail.

The Ewing 33 Hi comes available in four colours (two being classic Knicks colourways): White/Blue/Orange, Blue/White/Orange Red/Black & Black/White. Available now both in-store and on mail order sizes range from UK7 – UK10 (not including half sizes) priced at £110.

Inspiration for the colourway of their shoe came from the Highs & Lows flagship store interior – The French Roast & Forest Green coloured premium nubuck upper represents the stores’ wooden shelving and textured wallpaper. This is combined with an off-white perforated, nubuck toe box adding perfect contrast to the shoe. The make-up is finished off with an embroidered HAL logo tongue label, white midsole and gum outsole. An additional two sets of laces are supplied in the box along with the Reebok Certified Network swing tags.

The Air Solstice was re-released under Nike’s Tier Zero category in late 2012 – for summer 2013 the retro silhouette is back in two retro-styled colourways. The upper consists of suede and mesh coming in a Court Blue and Storm Red colours with contrast accents on the Nike Swoosh, heel and embroidered tongue labels. Leather material has been used on the inner lining and footbed, with the white midsole adding to the silhouettes’ overall clean look. The tongue features a nylon material with perforation holes added for breathability. Besides the tonal laces Nike have included a spare set matching up with the Swoosh colours.

The Nike Air Solstice QS Pack is due to release on Friday 14th June. Sizes range from UK8 – UK11 (Court Blue) & UK6 – -UK11 (Storm Red) not including half sizes, priced at £95.

After the Air Jordan 5 ‘Grape’ release which retro-ed a couple months back, Jordan brand are still going strong with a great line of Retro 5 releases. We saw the Jordan 5 Retro ‘Fire Red’ and ‘Grape’ fly off the shelves but now one of the most must have colourways of this year is due to release! The Jordan 5 Retro ‘Black Grape’ differs ever so slightly from its’ older brother that is the Jordan V ‘Grape’, opting for a full black Nubuck upper replacing the classic leather build. New Emerald and Grape hits feature on the midsole complementing the translucent outsole. Additional Emerald accents feature on the Jumpman logo on the heel, the inner lining & footbed and lace locks. The Grape tongue adds a splash of colour to the silhouette.

Dubbed as the country’s “Most original new hotel” the Ace Hotel chain located around five states in the US is known for its classic buildings with ‘modern bohemian’ styling. This has been reinterpreted onto this recent collaboration with Converse First String. Featuring a perforated white leather upper with laser etched ‘A’ details on the lateral and medial side panels. Smooth nubuck features on the toe box, tongue, Converse Chevron logo and on the heel sitting on a creamy midsole. Debossed on the tongue is ‘Converse for Ace Hotel’, the perforated details continue on the insole. Supplied in the box is a branded dust bag along with a set of spare laces.

After the successful releases of the Retro colourways in the Jordan XI Retro, Jordan are back this summer with the release of a new colourway for the Air Jordan 11 Low Retro. Dressed in a combined white and black upper featuring a white patent leather wrap around the toe-box following through the side panels and joining back at the heel, and the black ballistic mesh overlay completing the rest of the upper. The Jordan Jumpman logo features on the icy blue translucent outsole in white with red rubber sole traction accents. The Jumpman is also situated on the heel in red sitting below the jersey number logo.
