Converse First String 1970′s ‘Year of the Snake’ Pack | Now Available

Converse First String set to release the second pack in their 70s collection with the ‘Year of the Snake’ pack consisting of the 1970s Chuck Taylor & Pro Leather Mid.

After dropping the 1970s Chuck Taylor collection earlier this month, Team Converse are back with the release of the ‘Year of the Snake’ pack.

The 1970s Chuck Taylor All Star collection features slight differences that, at first, may only be recognizable to collectors and astute fans; however, upon careful inspection the sneaker features slightly higher rubber foxing along the sole, added cushioning and a slightly more substantial toe box.  Additional vintage details include stitching on the sidewall & a vintage license plate on the heel. Python and Anaconda have been the skins of choice for this release with the black laces and nickel eyelets adding contrast to both silhouettes.

Using the 1976 Pro Leather model Converse apply a full snake upper with black leather accents on the Chevron logo and heel. Red satin inner features with the brand logo detailed in gold on the insole, sitting on a milky outsole. The shoes come supplied with red and black laces. A red satin dust bag is also included in the box.

Pro Leather Mid sizes range from UK6 – UK10 (including half sizes) priced at £75. The Chuck Taylor Hi & Ox sizes range from UK6.5 – UK10.5 (including half sizes). CT Hi priced at £65 and the CT Ox at £60.
