Converse First String ‘Dr. J’ Pro Leather

Honoring the basketball legend that is ‘Dr. Julius Erving’, Team Converse resurrects their signature Pro Leather shoe that ‘Dr. J’ made famous.

 

Commonly referred to as the ‘Dr. J’ shoes, Julius Erving defined the game of Basketball wearing the Converse Pro Leather sneakers. This release pays homage to the legend who made an impact on the sport both on and off court. Originally released back in 1976, this version sees a full premium leather upper with the classic Converse ‘Chevron’ logo on the side panels, with the words ‘Dr. J’ sitting just beside the Converse logo in gold. Featuring an eggshell coloured mid-sole, this timeless sneaker comes with a spare set of navy laces, and a shoe bag.

 

Just 168 pairs are available worldwide, with Foot Patrol being the only international stockists outside the U.S.

 

The Converse First String Dr. J Pro Leather will be available in-store and for mail order soon (date T.B.A). Sizes UK 7 – UK 12, priced at £70.
