Fresh from the innovation kitchen, Nike apply premium quality ‘Maharam’ material to the Dunk Hi & Zoom Tennis Classic.

Maharam, a century old family business, is the renowned resource for interior textiles. Horsehair is clipped from the tail and woven using victorian-era looms.
The Maharam textile has been applied to the Tennis Classic upper with birch coloured leather lace hole panels, leather heel tab and an embossed leather tongue tab. A great additional touch is the minimalistic branding of the swoosh. It seems as if small holes had been burnt through the fabric, and coated with a special glue to prevent fraying.
The Dunk Hi Premium model uses a matte looking black leather alongside the Maharam textile. The textile brown horsehair mixed with a black woven material. The Nike swoosh in black leather as is the tongue tab and heel pull tab. The shoe is also leather lined (except toe-box area).
The Nike x Maharam Dunk Hi Premium TZ & Zoom Tennis Classic TZ are available in-store now. The Dunk Hi Premium Black/Mustang is £150, UK7 – UK11 (no half sizes). The Zoom Tennis Classic Birch/White is £120, UK7 – UK11 (no half sizes).
