French fashion brand Surface To Air, have teamed up with ASICS in conjunction with their Friends & Family project, putting their own spin on the Gel DS Trainer 14.
The inspiration for this shoe is said to be drawn from lightning storms and hi-tec Olympic swimming suits. The shoe consists of an all black upper made of neoprene, perforated nubuck, plastic and 3M reflective materials. Sitting on a white midsole/outsole with ASICS Gel cushioning technology. There are small flecks of black added to the inner-side of the midsole, adding to the overall design of the shoe. Other minor details are 3M piping around the tongue, both brand logos on the in-sole of the shoe in silver. A nice touch is the Surface to Air Logo that features on the front of both shoes. Rounding of their collaboration with ASICS, Surface To Air have included a tee (black with S2A logo in white), and two bags (one shoe bag, and one drawstring gym bag).
