American manufacturer Saucony team up with Boston’s best boutique Bodega to bring us their twist on the classic model, the Shadow 5000.
Bodega have been up in the rankings with their collaborations this year, and have now added another successful co-lab to their list. The Saucony ‘Shadow 5000′. This fall under Saucony’s Elite line (a sub brand created with Bodega), as an aid to bring back some of their ‘classic’ sneakers. These sneakers were originally only available to the Japanese market, but being the nice people they are, Saucony allowed a few select retailers outside of Japan to stock the sneakers. They are available in four colours, a blue and red tonal colorway, as well as in blue/grey and aqua/grey colorways. Overall the entire line-up looks very solid, using premium suede and mesh on most of the uppers, white mid-soles and gum outer-soles.
Also in-store, we have the Saucony Shadow 5000 Luxury Pack. The pack consists of three premium versions of the classic running shoe. The upper is made of perforated nubuck, while the lining is made of smooth pigskin.
Meanwhile, Saucony have been cooking up some old school flavours with their modern version of the brand’s original Hangtime basketball sneaker. Done up in a series of suede colorways, the shoes pair classic Saucony styling with a slight contemporary interpretation. Color choices include grey, green, blue, and burgundy, all paired with white highlights.
All shoes are available now in-store, the Shadow 5000 JP & Shadow 5000 Lux Pack £79.99, the Hangtime £74.99 UK 7 – UK12 (including half sizes).
