Never ones to say no to a collaboration, Undefeated team up with New Balance, and put their own stamp on the 574 Sonic Weld shoe.
Undefeated opened its doors in 2002, housing an independent sneaker boutique in Los Angeles. This gave the locals an opportunity to get their hands on sneakers that were a little different than those held in some of the mainstream stores. Shortly after opening, the Undefeated team moved on to create their own clothing line, which is a success in its own right. Today Undefeated hold stores in Los Angeles, Las Vegas & Tokyo.
New Balance introduce us to the Sonic Weld technology, which was inspired from tent construction. New Balance adapted this into their popular model the 574, which resulted in less materials being used thus creating a lighter shoe.
Undefeated have chosen to keep the palette to a minimal using one colour for the entire upper of the shoe, and red & white hits to enhance the NB logo. Both models feature a ‘sweatshirt’ style material mixed with suede like panels making both shoes easy to blend in with any outfit. Sticking with tradition, these 574 models still use the classic Encap shock absorption sole unit.
Available in store now at £69.99 UK 6 – UK 11 (including half sizes).
